5. 3-Way Tables and Higher

A 3-way table is a contingency table made using 3 variables (columns of the input database). For instance, the following table was made using the variables Sex as the row variable and the variables Language and Client Class as the column variables. To make 4-way tables and higher, the only limit to the number of ways the CrossTab tool of MM4XL software can make is set by the number of columns you have in Excel.

To make 3-way and higher tables with the CrossTab tool of MM4XL software you have to select the option Single table heading in the panel Kind of table of the Data page. Then, in page Parameters you assign the row and column variables as shown in the following image.
